Walk in EVERY state for Ron Paul...
I received this in my email box this morning! Too Cool....

IMMEDIATE Action!
All-America Walk in Support of Ron Paul’s Freedom Message
Sunday, August 19, 2007
Inspired by Kelly Halldorson, a supporter of Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who walked from Dover to Concord, New Hampshire recently to raise awareness about Dr. Paul's candidacy, we announce the organization of an All-America walk to raise such awareness to the national level. Kelly’s walk got her substantial press in her state. We can get similar press coverage in our cities, states, nationally and internationally if we all take a few steps together and show our support for the Freedom Message. Let’s show the nation that:
*We are real people taking real action and not a virtual internet phenomenon!
*We are serious about supporting a candidate who stands for FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE in government!
*The people are ready to TAKE THIS COUNTRY BACK!
On the day before his birthday, let’s give our candidate back some of the inspiration that he has given to us. Come on, people! We can do this! Let’s put this country on notice that the Ron Paul Revolution is HERE and EVERYWHERE. On August 19th we will gather to walk in EVERY state of the union. With signs and banners and literature and LOVE in our hearts we will spread the word of our support for FREEDOM and the return to CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT!

Supporters! Let's clean up America for Ron Paul,
While others are relaxing at barbeques with family and friends this Labor Day weekend let's clean up America for Ron Paul! You can work one day or all three it's entirely up to you. Pick up one bag or twenty, it's all good.
During my 38 mile walk from my home to my state (NH) capital I saw a lot of trash on the side of the road. It occurred to me that, like the walk, a clean-up effort might be a positive way to get some attention to the campaign.
My vision is that Ron Paul supporters all over the country organize their own efforts. You can clean up the sides of roads, parks or even beaches. My suggestion would be to at least go where there are lots of people. Bring some signs to stick in the ground (while you are cleaning), wear your favorite Ron Paul t-shirt and don't forget to bring some literature to hand out to people that are curious about Ron Paul.

Barack's Secret Service Protection
I know this is old news but I wanted to talk about it anyway. At first like everyone I was impressed by Mr. Obama. What's not to be impressive. He's intelligent, young, handsome, well spoken and more. Yet now the more I read about him the more I wonder what else there is to this campaign. What else besides the pretty face I mean. He seems less and less a man and more and more a puppet. Who's pulling those strings...I have some ideas but I'm not entirely sure.
I've also found some of his and/or his wife's comments somewhat disturbing. I'm bothered by the idea that his skin color seems to be such a major piece of his political appeal to so many and he (and/or his campaign) doesn't shy away from using it to his advantage as much as possible. When discussing the secret service detail with the media (60 Minutes) his wife was quoted as saying, "I don't lose sleep over it because the realities are that, you know, as a black man, you know, Barack can get shot going to the gas station, " she responded.
What? Are you serious? What does being black have to do with it? Seriously? I'm sorry but how many black men in expensive suits get shot in gas stations a year? And how many of women, whites, hispanics, gays etc get killed?

New Idea: Ron Paul Supporters Clean-up the Country
Here is my new idea. When I did my walk last Saturday I had a lot of time to think of new ways to help the campaign. I was inspired by the SC supporters who spammed a food bank with food. I thought of ways we could show the country that real conservative Republicans and Libertarians alike care about people and the environment. I mean why do people believe that Democrats have the monopoly on caring for others? Anyway this is one of the ideas I came up with.
I'd like to have meetups in all the states organize a roadside cleanup in their state. I'd like to pull this off on a single day. I was thinking Labor Day. What do others think? Would this be possible? Could you participate? Here's my vision below...
--------------
HEADLINE:
RON PAUL SUPPORTERS TO CLEAN UP THE USA IN ONE DAY!
Sick of the mess in Washington (and the rest of the US) Ron Paul supporters across the country have decided to organize a Clean-up America day. On Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2007) while others are relaxing and participating in family barbeques Ron Paul supporters will take to the streets with rubber gloves and garbage bags.
Their hope? To send a message to the country that we all need to take part in cleaning up the mess and vote for Ron Paul!
----------------------------
I figured people could bring lawn signs and put them along the side of the roads they are working on. All through the day supporters should take photos and at the end take photos of all the trash.
I will set up a website and if everyone emails me how many bags (and what size bags) they were able to collect I'll add up a final tally for the day and send it off in a press release to all the media. We can make this HUGE...I think it could get a ton of press and show that Ron Paul supporters do care about the environment.
PLEASE email me and give me some feedback...I'm still in the planning stages on this one!!

Just a Toenail for the Campaign :)
This past Saturday I stepped out onto my front porch at 5:00 am. I was greeted by a independent videographer and a photographer from Foster's Daily Democrat. The videographer, Mike Comeau, was there to document the walk, he followed me throughout the day and I'll be sure to post his finished video here. The photographer from Foster's was there to take pictures for a follow-up piece they were doing. This is the one thing, in regards to my walk, I really didn't think through. I had my picture taken over and over. If you know me you know I despise being photographed. Oh well, I tried to take it in stride.
I finally left my house at 5:30am. This first leg of the journey took just under two hours. I didn't have a sign, (someone had stolen it from my lawn a week prior) just my iPod and backpack full of CD's and literature. I made it to the Barrington Irving station at just after 7:00am. I was greeted by the same Foster's photographer, Jeff and my grandparents. I wasn't due into that stop until between 7:30-8:30am but I didn't want to wait around so started on my way shortly after getting there but as I was leaving a few supporters showed up and a Foster's reporter. So, I turned around and did a short interview, took a few pictures, borrowed a sign and then was on my way for real. I felt fantastic. No pain. Not the least bit tired. I had 7 miles down...only 31 left to go.
